Botox® Cosmetic, from Allergan Inc., is one of the most popular non-surgical procedures performed for the temporary correction of certain facial wrinkles. It is a series of small intramuscular injections of an FDA approved purified protein. It works by reducing the activity of the muscles that cause frown lines, such as those between the brows and crows feet that cause wrinkles to form over time. The result is a smoother appearance of these areas for up to 4 months.

Dysport™, from Medicis Aesthetics, is a prescription medicine that is injected into muscles and used to improve the look of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows (glabellar lines) and crows feet for a short period of time in adults younger than 65 years of age.
Frown lines (wrinkles) happen because the muscles that control facial expression are used often (muscle tightening over and over). After Dysport™ is injected into the muscles that control facial expression, the medicine stops the tightening of these muscles for up to 4 months.
Restylane®, from Medicis Aesthetics, is a safe cosmetic dermal filler made of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance that naturally occurs in your body. Free from animal products, this limits the risks of possible allergic reactions. This filler restores volume and fullness to the skin to correct facial wrinkles and folds, making this an ideal product for the nasolabial folds (the deep ridges occurring between your nose and mouth area). Restylane is also great for providing beautiful lip fullness.

Perlane® is the latest cosmetic dermal filler from Medicis Aesthetics®, the makers of Restylane®. Like Restylane®, Perlane® is composed of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance that is already occurring inherently in your body. The difference is in the gel particle size. Perlane® gel particles are larger and designed for deeper injections and it’s not recommended as a lip filler as well.
Juvéderm Ultra® from Allergan Inc., is a gel like product with a smooth consistency made of hyaluronic acid—a naturally occurring substance in your skin that helps to add volume and hydration. Juvéderm® is injected under the skin to instantly restore your skin's volume and smooth away facial wrinkles and folds, like your “smile lines” or “parentheses” (nasolabial folds—the creases that run from the bottom of your nose to the corners of your mouth). It is also a wonderful choice for restoring fullness to lips.
Juvéderm ™Ultra Plus, from Allergan Inc., is an injectable gel that restores volume to facial tissue and restores a smoother appearance to the face. Juvéderm Ultra Plus injectable gel is a colorless hyaluronic acid gel that is injected into facial tissue to smooth wrinkles and folds, especially around the nose and mouth. The difference between Juvederm Ultra and Ultra Plus is particle size and the depth of placement, with Ultra Plus being larger and placed deeper.
Radiesse®, from Merz Aesthetics, is a volumizing filler. Comprised of calcium-based microspheres, Radiesse® provides an immediate improvement to areas of volume loss, followed by stimulation of your own collagen for long lasting results, up to 12 months. Radiesse® is a great choice for restoring mid face volume, as well as lower face lines and folds.
